FAQs
Do you offer online tuition?
Yes - I offer both in-person and online sessions. For shared tuition, online sessions are only available when all learners are studying the same content. Please refer to the pricing section for details.
Can my child join with a friend?
Absolutely. Shared tuition is a great option for siblings or friends. If a new learner joins, they’ll receive their own complimentary session before starting regular tuition. Please refer to the pricing section for group rates.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is complimentary and includes a short diagnostic to identify key areas for development. This helps me create a bespoke plan tailored to the learner.
How do I pay for sessions?
Payment is due no later than the end of each session, though you’re welcome to pay in advance if preferred. I accept bank transfer or cash. I’m unable to take further bookings until payment has been received.
Can I switch to a block booking after a few sessions?
Block bookings do need to be arranged and paid for in advance. If you're thinking about switching to a block, feel free to ask - I’ll happily guide you through the options!
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. I understand that emergencies happen - I allow one last-minute cancellation without charge. After that, full payment is expected if notice is less than 48 hours. If I ever need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be no charge, and we’ll reschedule at a time that works for you.
Do you provide homework or resources?
Yes - I regularly set follow-up tasks and online resources tailored to each student’s needs to support learning between sessions.
Will I receive a summary of the session?
Yes - I always email a brief summary of the session to the learner or carer, including key points and any follow-up tasks.
Can we switch between one-to-one and shared tuition?
Yes, though I’ll always want to ensure the group dynamic supports learning. If a new learner joins, they’ll receive their own complimentary session before regular tuition begins.
